Be a Minimalist: 4 quick Dessert Recipes

You know you can come up with nice desserts in just 20 minutes, using mainly fruit? Sometimes using no more than 4 ingredients you can create something wonderful for before or after dinner. Call them a Pre-Dessert or an “easy” dessert, these 4 Recipes might help to get inspired and on the making of fantastically simple sweet treats

Strawberry Fool
A mix of cold cream and fruit: that’s all!
You’ll need:
1 Pint Strawberries
1/2 Cup Granulated Sugar
1 Cup Heavy Cream

-Slice half the strawberries and set aside
-Add half the sugar to the rest of strawberries and let sit until it releases the juices, blend it to obtain a puree.
-Pour the puree over the strawberries sliced
-Whip cream and when soft peaks form, add the rest of the sugar
-Pour over the strawberry mix and toss together, serve immediately

Balsamic Vinegar Strawberries
A perfect company for cakes and ice creams, or rather devour them by themselves
You’ll need:
1 quart Strawberries
1 tsp Balsamic Vinegar
1 dash Salt
1/4 Cup Sugar
1 Dash Black Pepper

-Toss the fruit with sugar and salt and set aside until the juices are released
-Add the vinegar and toss again, add a dash of black pepper
-Serve immediately

Macerated Fruit
A fancy mix that depends all in the sitting time
You’ll need:
1 Cup Dried Fruit
1/2 A mix of Nuts/or a nut you like
1/2 Cup Sour Cream/Whipped Cream

-Add all the dried fruits and nuts to a bowl and cover with water
-Let sit for couple hours and until a syrup has formed
-Drain, take some of the syrup and drizzle on top
-Add sour cream on top

Fruity Cream and Butter
From the famous swiss dessert crème à la beurre au meringue, this dessert was created
You’ll need:
1 Cup Heavy Cream
2 Tbsp high quality Butter
1 handful Mix of Fruit (Berries)
Lemon Zest/Orange Zest
1/4 Cup Sugar
1 dash Cardamom

-Place berries, sugar, salt, zest and cardamom in a bowl and set aside, let the juices come out
-Whip Heavy Cream
-Arrange some room temp high quality butter on top
-Arrange the berries around
